Using the No-Vent Safe Release Weight allows you to release fish suffering from "Barotrauma" otherwise known as (over expansion of the swim bladder) without causing internal damage or infection due to harmful venting. It also helps the fish escape predators due to rapid decent. Once the fish is returned to habitat depth, the swim bladder is re-compressed to ambient pressure. The fish will regain it's mobility and have a much greater chance of survival.
